The older we get, the bigger our problems become and with that asking for help becomes more and more daunting. We feel as though it is our responsibility to deal with our issues on our own. Seeking help is looked as a sign of weakness.

Rehab facilities and/or an addiction counselor can utilize this information to gain a better understanding of you, and your needs during this time.
Remember, seeking help is not a weakness in fact it is quite the opposite. It takes strength and courage to do what is best not only for you, but those around you. By asking for help you are not being a burden. Although you may feel vulnerable, being honest and explaining your drug or alcohol dependency you are taking the proper steps to achieving a life free from drugs or alcohol.
