Clinical Supervisor Position

BornFree Wellness Centers of America is looking for an innovative dynamic individual to join a brand new wellness clinic that provides behavioral health, and opioid dependence treatment. We are outcomes driven and have a strong focus on the holistic well-being of the patient.  We have been watching the heroin epidemic grow in Maryland and around the nation, and we are motivated to provide patient centered services that will make a difference. Description

The Clinical Supervisor directs and manages an effective clinical service delivery team using applicable principles of Social Work and/or Counseling which include - patient psychosocial assessment, group and individual psychotherapy, family intervention, patient/family education and treatment planning.  The candidate must have addiction counseling certification in good standing, or an appropriate license. This is part-time position and will require 25 - 30 hours /week commitment.  Candidate must be able to work early morning hours and available to work some weekends.  Additionally, candidates must be able to pass a credit check, background check and drug screening. 

Responsibilities

  • Supports evaluation of program services to enhance patient outcomes and acts as a positive change agent to implement clinical initiatives to increase quality patient care. 

  • Conducts assessment of each patient’s psychosocial status and functioning in an effort to document history and identify preliminary items for the treatment plan.

  • Facilitates the overall development and implementation of a comprehensive, individualized plan of treatment in conjunction with other treatment team members.

  • Incorporates the patient’s psychosocial functioning and strengths in the plan of care. 

  • Formulates a treatment plan with the client, using knowledge of alcohol and drug abuse risk factors and counseling and treatment techniques.

  • Provides and/or arranges for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for patients or clients in a crisis situation.

  • Follows up to determine reliability and validity of treatment used; makes recommendations regarding modification to services and service delivery.

  • Refers client to other support services as needed, such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services, and employment services.

  • Prepares and maintains reports and case histories.

  • Participates in the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures.

  • Consults with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework; refers clients to appropriate service agencies as required.

  • Attends staff meetings and team conferences; leads team meetings as required.

  • Participates in, leads, and/or coordinates training sessions and workshops to enhance treatment skills.

  • Maintains current knowledge base on counseling issues regarding substance abuse and other psychosocial disorders through conferences, educational requirements for licensure, and applicable current literature.

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Positive attitude and open approach to patients, staff and visitors.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Strong knowledge of addiction, treatment, and recovery.

  • Experience and ability to work with electronic medical records is required.

  • Knowledge of methasoft is a plus.

  • Must pass criminal background checks.
